8 Reasons Why You Must To Be Yourself

What’s your reason for not wanting to be yourself? Better yet, what’s your reason for holding back?
Are you surrounded by family who criticize and judge you for doing things your way?
Does your family expect you to be something you don’t aspire to be? For example – your dad wants you to
be a doctor, but you want to be an accountant?
Or maybe your reason for not being the real you is low self esteem.
I can relate to you. I know how it feels to be afraid of expressing yourself.
People will give you all sorts of funny looks and call you names just for being honest. And people will even attack you verbally for being your true self.
But who cares if a couple of brainwashed people judge you for being you.

Take these 8 points into consideration and you’ll have little trouble expressing yourself.

1. You Only Live Once

What’s the point in pretending you’re somebody else? You’re you aren’t you?
The only time you should act like someone else is if you’re in the acting industry, or If being yourself does more harm than good.
It makes no sense otherwise. I don’t care how much you want to kid yourself… If you’ve convinced yourself you’re the twin of some big icon, get a reality check.
You might think I’m harsh but the truth stings like a scorpion! And the truth is what you need to hear for sure.
Everybody on this planet Is here for a reason. Wake up, start being YOU today, be yourself.
I understand fear might be stopping you but you’ll have to get over it eventually. And now would be a good time to do it.

2. You’re Unique

Why imitate others? You’re original! Your talents are unique to you.
A bunch of people have similar passions, same talents, but the way you use your talent is unique to you. The ways you express yourself are unique.
Your personality traits and characteristics are unique. Your interests in food, games…. You get the point.
You have a LOT to offer to the world so don’t waste your unique abilities.
What you don’t use, you lose. – Jim Rohn
So use your talents, skills, and use them well.

3. You Don’t Need To Fit In

How boring would the world be if we were all the same? If that was the case, we’d all die of boredom and become extinct.
If you’re a bubbly, energetic person whose sociable, don’t be afraid to express yourself.
If you’re a laid back, cool calm and collected person, be that person. No need to front.
If you’re an introvert then be an introvert. The worst thing you can do is be something that ain’t natural to who you are.
Being different is “crazy” to some, but when you be yourself you don’t need to fit in.
You don’t need to act a certain way. Forget being a follower, be a leader.

4. You Don’t Need To Lie

I bet you’ve noticed as soon as you tell it like it is, people don’t like it?
They’ll say things like “don’t be cheeky” “that’s rude” or “why are you being like that.” Even liars don’t enjoy lying. Honesty is a gift in its self and a blessing.
You have less to worry about and little to prove.
The benefits? Anybody with ulterior motives wont take you for a fool. Stand tall and be proud of who you are.

5. Your Confidence Will Shine

When you’re as fearless as a great white shark, your confidence will shine through. Only people who aren’t themselves are ruled by fear.
They fear being judged, they fear how people might react to their true selves.
Walk with confidence. Dress with confidence. Feel confident and breathe confidence. You are who you are, life is too short to not express yourself fully.
Once you come out of your shell, confidence will pop out naturally. You’ll become more attractive in more ways than one!

6. You’ll attract the right friends

Notice how the person who kisses everybody’s ass is surrounded by fake people? Or when somebody who’s too nice has “friends” who show up only when It’s convenient?
That’s because Mr nice guy and Mr “kiss everybody’s ass” aren’t being honest with themselves.
Birds of a feather flock together.
The longer you fake it the longer you’ll attract those types of people.
Be yourself and watch EVERYTHING change. Including your friendships and those around you.

7. It feels so much better

Who wants to feel like a fraudster? When you’re trying to be something you’re not to impress or satisfy others, you feel like a lying little shit.
You feel miserable. You feel stupid and idiotic. You feel slimy. You feel unhappy.
Be a little more honest with yourself and do what feels right to you. It feels 100 times better, and you’ll be 100 times happier too.

8. You’re you for a reason

If you end up with a boring miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it. ― Frank Zappa
Harsh words? So what! It’s the damn truth.
Nobody can tell you who the fuck you should be or what the fuck you should do. NOBODY. Not 1 damn person on earth can tell you that.
Well, they can, but that doesn’t mean you should be foolish enough to listen or conform to it.
Why would you want to be a fireman If you’re not a fireman? Why would you want to be a nurse If it makes you miserable and depressed?
Why would you want to be a construction worker If you have no interest in construction?
Why would you want to be a lawyer If you have no passion to be a lawyer?
Why would you want to be something you’re not and end up miserable, for the sake of impressing others? Fuck that! You’re you for a reason.
